A review of the applicability of existing threshold-based approaches undertaken for larger-scale assessments and their application at the MPA scale (notably applied to OSPAR and under the UK Marine Strategy). c. Drawing together the findings from a. and b. to develop a 'strawman' framework for improved approaches to undertaking MPA condition assessments in the UK (in particular in offshore waters (beyond 12 nautical miles) context). d. A set of SMART recommendations for further work. The main deliverable from this contract is expected to be a single technical report that meets the specifications outlined in a-d above.
