## Summary

The Merseytravel organisation is seeking suppliers for the procurement of a Public Address Voice Alarm System for the Mersey Tunnels. This contract falls under the emergency and security equipment category and is valued at £700,000. The procurement process is currently in the Award stage, with the contract period started on 1 January 2021 and extending until 30 June 2024. The project is focused on replacing antiquated systems in the Kingsway and Queensway tunnels, located in the North West of England. The procurement method employed is an open procedure, and the tender period ended on 17 June 2020.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialising in the design, supply, and installation of voice alarm systems for road tunnels. Companies that can offer a maintenance package following the installation phase would also find this contract attractive, especially those with experience in emergency communication solutions. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, bringing innovation and competitive pricing to the procurement process.
