South Cambridgeshire District Council is leading on a joint procurement to obtain Specialist Community Led Housing Consultancy that will support the delivery of affordable housing. The Councils want to understand the extent to which community led housing, such as Community Land Trusts, in Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire might support the housing market in helping to provide affordable housing which meets the needs of local communities. This will include reviewing current policies, up-skilling council officers and consulting with communities to raise awareness of community-led development and assessing their appetite for bringing forward affordable housing. We are looking for a contractor who has a proven track record in working with community-led groups that has brought forward affordable housing schemes, such as through Community Land Trusts.
