## Summary

The procurement process led by Wolverhampton City Council involves the project titled "CWC25093- Illuminating St Peter's Church, Gardens and the exterior of Wolverhampton Art Gallery." This initiative falls under the electric installation works category, also encompassing artificial and natural lighting engineering services. Focusing on enhancing the visual appeal and safety of the city centre illuminated by strategically placed lighting, it aligns with plans supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The procurement utilised YPO's Dynamic Purchasing System for Highway and Exterior Architectural Lighting, a method that encourages competition among pre-selected suppliers. The project, situated in the West Midlands, follows an award phase completed on 13th November 2025, and the period of contract stretches from 17th November 2025 until 31st March 2026.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in the electrical installation and lighting engineering sectors. With an awarded contract value of £173,208.81, SMEs, particularly those like Studiotech UK Ltd, which was chosen as the supplier, stand to benefit from involvement. The focus on electric installations of heritage and urban sites provides avenues for companies specialising in architectural lighting. Participating entities can leverage this project to establish partnerships with the City of Wolverhampton Council and other stakeholders involved in urban improvement initiatives. Such collaborative efforts can enhance business visibility and promote further project engagement within the sector and region.
