## Summary

The Department for Work and Pensions has commenced a tender process for a project titled "Website Usability Testing," focusing on IT services. This initiative aims to ensure that the Customer's website is user-friendly ahead of a new content management system set for implementation in Q3 2018. The tender period concluded on 21st July 2017, while the contract period started on 17th August 2017 and will run until 8th February 2018. This open procurement method invites competitive bids from interested parties, particularly offering services in consulting, software development, and Internet support within the South East region of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in IT services, particularly those offering consultancy and web development expertise. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) equipped with the right skill set to enhance website functionality and user experience are well-suited to compete for this contract. By contributing to this project, businesses can establish themselves as key players in the public sector market, potentially leading to further contracts in the realm of digital services.

## Notice

This contract is for a standalone piece of work to help future-proof the Customer's website before a new content management system is put in place during 2018. Implementation of the new CMS is due to start in Q3 (Oct/Nov). The information architecture needs to have been agreed by early in the project (exact date TBC) so that the implementation partner can deliver the build specification in line with the Customer's requirements. The primary objective is to test whether a proposed new level 1 enables website users to easily find the content they need to complete key tasks. The secondary objective is to gather insight about how the existing IA from level 2 downwards is performing. This insight will be fed into future content and IA changes.
