## Summary

Health Education England (HEE) has recently completed a tender process for a project titled "Scoping Exercise to Establish the Requirement for a Quality Improvement Model to Support Neonatal Services." This project falls within the education and training services category and is aimed at improving neonatal care by developing an evidence-based Quality Improvement system. The tender was published on 5th February 2019, with the bidding period closing on 15th February 2019. The contract period started on 25th February 2019 and concluded on 31st March 2019, with an award value of £10,638.31. Delivery addresses include various regions such as the United Kingdom, Europe, and British Overseas Territories.

This procurement process presents growth opportunities for businesses in the health and social work services sector, particularly those focused on training and consultancy in neonatal care. Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprises (VCSEs) with expertise in Quality Improvement and health training would be well-suited to engage in similar future tenders. Collaborating with stakeholders such as neonatal units and health organisations could further enhance business prospects in this niche area.

## Notice

Health Education England (HEE) is seeking to commission an external partner to scope the requirement for an evidence-based Quality Improvement (QI) system training for neonatal staff based in Neonatal units. It is expected that will be conducted with the Neonatal Network Managers, British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM), the Neonatal Nurses Association, the Neonatal Operational Delivery networks (ODN), Bliss and other key stakeholders to establish what kind of QI activity could be developed and systematically rolled out across the network. This is a time limited project and the results must be delivered to HEE by 31 March 2019.
