## Summary

The NHS Business Services Authority has awarded a contract for the development of an API for the Discharge Medicines Service (DMS). The procurement process started with a tender issued on 23 June 2023, with the contract commencing on 21 July 2023. Suppliers are required to present the software interface by 14 December 2023 and complete acceptance tests by 18 January 2024. The total contract value is £20,000 GBP, and the contract period extends from 14 August 2023 to 31 March 2024. The opportunity is suitable for suppliers of dispensing or clinical services who can meet the key milestones within set timescales.

Suppliers able to develop software for pharmacy services are invited to participate in this opportunity that requires the integration of an API with the NHS Business Services Authority's systems. Businesses in the software support services industry, particularly those providing solutions to pharmacies, are well-suited to compete. The contract involves fixed fee payment terms and the need for ongoing support following successful API development. The tender presents an opportunity for SMEs with expertise in software development and experience in delivering similar health-related projects to contribute to improving pharmacy services in the UK.
