## Summary

Ofgem, the UK's regulator for the electricity and gas markets, has successfully completed a procurement process for a digital staff conference titled "Ofgem Digital Staff Conference (2020-125)." This tender, classified under the "Multimedia networks" industry category, had a total value of £60,000. The procurement method was an open procedure, and the contract period commenced on 18th August 2020, ending on 17th December 2020. The procurement stage has moved to the award phase as of 9th September 2020, following the completion of the tender period which concluded on 17th July 2020. The event aimed to facilitate engagement among Ofgem staff across its locations in London, Glasgow, and Cardiff.

This procurement offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in digital event management, particularly those that can manage high-quality, interactive online conferences. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that provide services in digital technology, event production, or multimedia solutions would be well-suited to compete for similar contracts. The unique shift towards digital events, especially in response to COVID-19, presents a timely chance for businesses in this sector to showcase their capabilities and expand their client base, particularly in a highly competitive arena such as government-related events.

## Notice

Ofgem runs a conference for its 1000 staff, every two years. The event aims to enable colleagues across its three locations (London, Glasgow, Cardiff) to engage positively with Ofgem's organisational purpose and future vision. Following the COVID-19 crisis, we have decided not to proceed with a face-to-face staff conference planned for September 2020. Instead we will run a digital conference in early December. We need the services of an experienced digital events partner to help us deliver a high quality, inclusive, interactive and engaging digital event.
