## Summary

The procurement process titled "Bi Borough - Integrated Statutory Advocacy Services Market Engagement Event" is being led by Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. This initiative falls under the category of Other community, social and personal services and is set to take place in London, UK. Currently at the planning stage, the key date for engagement is March 13, 2019, by which suppliers must register to participate in the market engagement event held at Kensington Town Hall. The purpose of this engagement is to inform potential suppliers about the upcoming competitive tendering process for integrated statutory advocacy services, aiming to replace current service provisions.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses that specialise in advocacy services, particularly those focused on Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy, Independent Mental Health Advocacy, and related fields. Companies with experience in delivering community and social services are encouraged to engage, as their insights will help shape the future model for these essential services. Participation in this event will facilitate networking with key stakeholders and could lead to participation in the formal procurement exercise expected to follow.

## Notice

New Opportunity - Reshaping Statutory Advocacy Services in the Bi-Borough. Advocacy is a statutory duty under the Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act 2007 and Care Act 2014. The current service provision is due to expire, therefore Westminster City Council (WCC) and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC) intend to undertake a competitive tendering procurement to develop an integrated advocacy service to meet all statutory requirements. Prior to commencing any formal procurement process the two boroughs are holding a market engagement event on Wednesday 13 March 2019 to engage with suppliers with experience of delivering these types of services. The purpose of the market engagement is to discuss how best to develop the future model for the statutory advocacy services, namely: - Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy - Independent Mental Health Advocacy - Independent Health Complaints Advocacy - Independent Care Act Advocacy This will be the first of a number of opportunities for key stakeholders including residents and suppliers to input into the redesign of services, delivering improved services and outcomes for customers, residents, carers, families, and communities.
