## Summary

The procurement process, initiated by ESPO (Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation), concerns the tender titled "59_20 - Street Lighting Solutions" aimed at providing a national framework for the supply and delivery of street lighting luminaires and columns across the UK. This procurement falls into the goods category, with a total estimated value of £40 million, and uses an open procedure for bidding. The contract is set to run from 18 January 2020 to 17 January 2022, with an option for a 24-month extension. The tender period concluded on 29 November 2019, and interested parties were instructed to register on the East Midlands Tenders website to participate in the bidding process.

This framework presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary and community sector enterprises (VCSEs), as it allows multiple public sector organisations to access a variety of street lighting products and services. Suppliers involved in manufacturing or delivering electrical machinery and lighting solutions, such as luminaires and lighting columns, will find this tender particularly well-suited to their capabilities. Additionally, businesses with experience in providing services to public sector entities may benefit from the chance to engage with a wide range of customers when utilising this framework agreement.
