## Summary

The London Borough of Hillingdon is conducting a tender for the project titled "Lot 2 - Upgrade of dwelling fire detection to LD1 within High Rise Housing Blocks." This initiative falls within the construction industry, specifically focusing on the installation and upgrading of fire-detection systems in three high-rise buildings located in London (postcode UB8 1UW). The procurement process is currently at the award stage, with the contract period commencing on 3rd February 2020 and concluding on 3rd April 2020. The total value of the awarded contract is approximately £107,721.23, and the tender procedure employed is an open procedure which allows for broad participation while remaining below threshold limits.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in fire safety and installation services, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that can adapt to the requirements of installing complete fire-detection systems in residential settings. Companies with expertise in installation services of fire protection equipment and those who can efficiently coordinate with subcontractors for electrical and fire-alarm systems would be well-suited to compete. The impending works, estimated to take three weeks on-site starting January 2020, cater to increased demand for safety enhancements in residential properties, creating avenues for sustained business growth in this essential sector.
