## Summary

The procurement process involves The Litmus Partnership Ltd, which is seeking suppliers for catering services at The McAuley Catholic High School, located in Doncaster, England. The tender, titled "The McAuley Catholic High School - Tender for Catering Services", is currently in the award stage following its publication on 30 January 2019. The successful contract will commence on 1 August 2019 and run for an initial three-year period, concluding on 31 July 2022, with the possibility of a two-year extension. The estimated contract value is £950,000, and the tender period ended on 8 March 2019.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the catering industry, particularly those experienced in school and hospitality services. Companies offering innovative and healthy food solutions with a focus on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients would be well-suited to compete. Additionally, businesses interested in capital investment to improve existing facilities and services could leverage this opportunity to enhance their offerings within the educational sector. Given the emphasis on high standards and the Living Wage, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to engage, enabling them to contribute actively to the delivery of quality catering services.

## Notice

The successful supplier will be required to provide catering services for The McAuley Catholic High School. The McAuley Catholic High School offers a distinctive catholic education in partnership with parents and the local church. We believe in the unique dignity of each individual within our community and therefore treat each other with deep respect. Each individual is challenged and nurtured to be the best person that they can be in a Christian atmosphere of peace, justice and reconciliation. We commit ourselves to equality of opportunity and access to life-long learning and spirituality. The catering contract being offered will commence on 1.8.2019 for an initial period of 3 years concluding on 31.7.2022, with the opportunity to extend for a further period of 2 years at the discretion of the governing body, and will be offered on a guaranteed performance basis. The successful Supplier will be required to provide all catering and hospitality services at both Cantley Lane (DN3 3QF) and Acacia Road (DN4 6NU) sites, which are located 0,5 miles apart and the sixth form for The McAuley Catholic High School. The contract offered covers the scope for the provision of all school catering services, which currently includes breakfast club, morning break, lunch, all hospitality and free issue requirements. Free school meals and hospitality will be charged based on consumption and at net food cost. Whilst the client's objective of value for money is a priority, innovation and continued improvement of the current catering service throughout the contract term will be pivotal to the success of the new contract. The client is looking for a supplier who will continue to evaluate standards, process and procedures to reflect the high levels of achievement within the school. In support of the client's high expectations of the catering service, suppliers are required to ensure that The Living Wage is factored into their proposals for all catering employees and that a proactive approach is taken to catering staff training. The client expects the successful supplier to enable the continued development of catering through the provision of an innovative, healthy food service, with fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients such as bakery products being prepared on-site. Food for life silver accreditation reflects the minimum standard of catering required. The client invites suppliers to consider offers of capital investment, to assist in further upgrading and harmonising the current facilities across both sites. The introduction of outside "food outlets" and an NRS cashless catering system have previously been completed. Additional improvements that are now being considered for both sites include the upgrade of dining tables and chairs. This investment should also consider the improvement of current hot and cold food and drink presentation equipment.
