## Summary

The London Borough of Merton has initiated a tender for the "Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC) Specialist Team," aimed at enhancing support services for vulnerable children facing risks associated with parental substance misuse and other related issues. This procurement falls under the industry category of Health and social work services, and the total contract value is set at £3.6 million, with a minimum contract value of £1.8 million. The tender is currently in the active stage, with an open procurement method, and submissions must be received by 25 August 2017. The contract period is expected to commence on 1 January 2018 and conclude by 1 January 2020, with the possibility of two one-year extensions.

This tender presents significant business opportunities, particularly for service providers specialising in multidisciplinary support for families, such as those focused on health, social services, and community welfare. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) would be well-positioned to compete, given the flexible nature of the required services. Providers can leverage their expertise in delivering comprehensive care and coordination to contribute effectively to this critical initiative, ultimately helping parents and improving outcomes for children at risk.
