There are 9 MFU's at the plant, each holding 15m3 of industrial grade GAC. The requirement is to provide a regular exchange programme of the filter units and to supply regenerated carbon to each filter unit at the time of exchange. The service requirement includes collection of 2 MFU's at each scheduled exchange, transportation to the regeneration facility and return of 2 MFU's to the ground water plant facility within 1-2 working days from the collection date. The collection date to be within 3 working days of Magnox notification that an exchange is required.
