However, since the completion of the Hard Ings Road improvement scheme in 2020, there are no outstanding plans for highways in Keighley. The Planning, Transportation and Highways division of the Council considers that a forward plan is needed for the highways network in the town. This plan will need to focus on the development of public transport and active travel to cement these as the first choice for local and longer-distance journeys.
