Maintenance projects are identified during annual building inspections and as a result of routine or emergency maintenance calls throughout the year. MDX's capital projects involve long-term investments through a construction project which adds value to the university infrastructure, such as providing new space that meets the needs of the students, and aligns with the MDX's and Estates long-term strategic objectives. Refurbishment and renovation projects generally encompass all other construction projects that are not identified as maintenance or capital.
