## Summary

The Thrive into Work Individual Placement and Support Programme is being procured by NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands, based in Wolverhampton, England. This programme aims to enhance employment, health, and wellbeing outcomes for individuals with long-term health conditions or disabilities through the deployment of employment specialists in NHS services across the West Midlands. The procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with a cumulative budget of £6,500,000 set for the contract period from 2nd October 2017 to 31st March 2020. Two key market engagement events are scheduled for 12th and 13th June 2017 in Wolverhampton and Birmingham, respectively, inviting stakeholders to influence the service design before the tender is formally issued.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specializing in health and social work services, particularly those focused on support and employment services for individuals with disabilities. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) will be well-suited to compete, given the emphasis on community-based service delivery. Engaging in this process allows businesses to contribute their insights, tailor their bids to the needs of the commissioning bodies, and ultimately expand their footprint in the West Midlands market.

## Notice

The West Midlands Combined Authority is working with NHS England, the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Department of Health (DH) to trial Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in primary and community care settings. The aim is to test if this model can deliver a transformational improvement in employment, health, and wellbeing outcomes for people out of work with a self-defined long term health condition or disability. The trial will deploy IPS employment specialists across primary and community NHS services focused on four areas anticipated to be based around CCG geographies: Sandwell & West Birmingham, Birmingham South Central, Dudley and Wolverhampton. It will run from October 2017 to March 2020, hosted by Wolverhampton CCG on behalf of the West Midlands Combined Authority. The commissioner intends to hold two market engagement events, one in Wolverhampton on 12th June, and the other in Birmingham on 13th June.
