## Summary

Birmingham City Council has completed the procurement process for an Employer's Agent to aid in the delivery of complex major construction and refurbishment works. This project is part of their effort to enhance housing stock within the West Midlands region, United Kingdom. The procurement falls under the Architectural, Construction, Engineering, and Inspection Services category with a focus on services. Initially launched under a selective procurement method as a call-off from a framework agreement, this contract covers a period from 28th August 2025 to 27th August 2027, with potential extensions, and holds a maximum value of £8,400,000. The formal award to Michael Dyson Associates Limited was made on 20th June 2025, and the subsequent announcement was published on 26th September 2025.

This tender offers substantial growth opportunities for businesses operating within the construction and engineering sectors, particularly for those adept at managing large-scale refurbishment activities. The project is well-suited for SMEs and social enterprises (VCSEs), highlighting the Council's commitment to fostering diverse business engagement. Companies with expertise in project management, multidisciplinary consultancy, and lead consultancy services might find this an apt platform to expand their portfolio by collaborating on city-scale infrastructural improvements. With the focus on designing cost-effective, practical solutions, this initiative could serve as a valuable case study for firms seeking to showcase their capability in aligning with public sector objectives.
