## Summary

West Northamptonshire Council, situated in the East Midlands and responsible for services across the former authority areas of Daventry, South Northamptonshire, Northampton, and the Northamptonshire County Council, wishes to appoint Framework Providers for the WNC Security Services Framework. The procurement process is divided into four lots: Core Security Guarding Service, Ad hoc Security Guarding Services, Security Electronics and Installations, and Out of Hours Services, Monitoring and Maintenance. The initial contract duration is 36 months, with an optional extension of 12 months, starting on 18 November 2024. The total estimated contract value is £32,248,000. The tender process will end by 30 September 2024, with the framework agreements commencing shortly thereafter. West Northamptonshire Council follows an open procurement method and encourages tenders from SMEs in the security services industry, identified by CPV code 79710000. Interested parties must submit their tenders via the In-Tend Portal by midday on 26 April 2024.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for business growth, particularly for security service providers. The framework's extensive scope, divided into multiple lots, allows companies to bid for one or more categories, potentially securing a significant portion of the work. The guarantee of long-term contracts, ranging from 36 to 48 months, provides stability and forecasted revenue. This framework is particularly suited for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that specialise in security services, monitoring, and installations, as evidenced by the current awarded suppliers, including SSG Support Services Group Ltd, Prime Secure Systems Ltd, and several others. Engaging in this competitive framework could foster new business relationships and expand market presence for SMEs proficient in the security sector.
