## Summary

NHS England and NHS Improvement South West is undertaking a procurement process for the provision of Health Care Services to the Vinney Green Secure Children's Home located in South Gloucestershire. This initiative, classified under health and social work services, is currently in the planning stage with a key milestone set for the engagement end date on 10th June 2022. The anticipated contract term for service provision is seven years, commencing on 1st April 2023, with an estimated annual value of £748,000. The firm is seeking expressions of interest from capable providers to inform its commissioning and procurement strategy.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for organisations specialising in healthcare services, particularly those focused on primary care, mental health, emotional well-being, and substance misuse. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) would be well-positioned to compete, especially those with experience in delivering tailored healthcare services to vulnerable populations, such as children and young people in secure settings. Engaging in this procurement could enable businesses to expand their service offerings and contribute positively to the health care landscape within the secure children's home environment.

This notice is placed as a Prior Information Notice (PIN) as a call for competition, initially to obtain expressions of interest from providers who have the capability and capacity to deliver healthcare services to Vinney Green Children's Home (SCH) in South Gloucestershire. The Commissioner (NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I) South West), may then choose to proceed directly to a procurement process with parties who have responded to the notice and in this circumstance there shall be no further notice published. Length of stay in the SCH is highly variable and some young people will start sentences that will see them transition to adult custodial settings NHSE/I is responsible for commissioning all health care services in the SCH and for the clinical governance of the services provided. The key objective of the service is for the CYP to receive an equivalent service to that available to the general population with respect to access to services, based on need. The following health care services are within scope: * Primary care * Mental health * Emotional wellbeing * Substance misuse * Infection prevention and control * Immunisations and vaccinations Dentistry is accessed through community appointments.
