## Notice

The University is looking to appoint a Masterplan Design Team to work with the Director of Estates and Facilities, the CAV Project Manager and the Masterplan Business Development Consultant develop a strategic masterplan for the redevelopment of the CAV (Campus for Ageing and Vitality) site. The CAV is the site of the former Newcastle General Hospital, a 29 acre site located between Nuns Moor Road and Westgate Road recently purchased by Newcastle University. The university is working in collaboration with Newcastle Hospitals and Newcastle City Council on the plans, with proposals including a "Discovery Crucible" which would house laboratories alongside cutting edge clinics, a residential zone, and a dementia care facility. The tender package for the Masterplan Design Team will be let via an EU compliant tender process. The appointment will be for a fixed term of 9 months to include Stakeholder engagement, preparation and submission of the Masterplan to Newcastle University plus updates following review. Following Newcastle University approval, the application for Masterplan and representation during the Outline Planning Approval process will be required. The appointment will then have the option to extend annually for a further 5 years to ensure all further site development proceeds in a coordinated manner and that decisions for each individual development are taken on the basis of a broader understanding of the site wide constraints or the Masterplan is updated to reflect development needs. The potential contract duration is 9 months plus 5 possible additional years (9months+1+1+1+1+1), 5 years and 9 months. The annual fee would be based upon the anticipated workload and determined utilising daily rates submitted at tender stage. Additional information: .
