## Summary

The South Cambridgeshire District Council is currently conducting a tender for a weekly collection service of small electrical appliances (WEEE) as part of a shared waste service across Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire. The procurement is categorised under 'services' with the CPV description 'Refuse disposal and treatment.' The tender period is open until 24 February 2022, with the contract expected to commence on 6 July 2022 and run until 31 May 2024. Interested parties must possess appropriate licensing and meet specified operational standards, including provision for monthly chain of custody records and adequate vehicle qualifications.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in waste management and collection services to expand their operations within the local authority framework. Companies that are fully licensed waste carriers, with a proven track record in health and safety compliance, would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. The need for reliable, adaptable collection services will benefit those able to respond swiftly to both scheduled and urgent requests, thereby enhancing their service capabilities in a competitive market.
