## Summary

The University of Salford is inviting tenders for the supply of Heat Flux Sensors as part of the Energy House 2 project, which involves the construction of an advanced building physics test laboratory in Salford, England. This procurement falls under the goods category, specifically for sensors, and is currently in the active tender stage. The tender period closes on 21 October 2020, with the contract scheduled to commence on 1 November 2020 and last until 31 October 2021. The total value of the contract is set at £30,000 and follows an open procurement method.

This tender presents significant opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the sensors market, particularly those specialising in energy monitoring and related technologies. Companies that can demonstrate experience with building physics, energy efficiency, or construction-related projects would be especially well-suited to compete for this contract. By participating, businesses can engage with an innovative project that aims to advance testing facilities for built environments, potentially leading to further partnerships and contracts in a growing industry.

## Notice

Energy House 2 (EH2) is a large-scale building physics test laboratory to be built at the University of Salford Manchester. The project Is part funded by the ERDF. The construction will begin in summer 2020 with the construction period set to last 12 months. The project builds on the successful Energy House project :(https://www.salford.ac.uk/built-environment/laboratories-and-studios/energyhouse ). A video of the project can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP3bsXeQKYU EH2 will be a unique facility and one of most advanced building test facilities on the planet. It has the following features: * 2 large chambers capable of having 2 family homes built in each one (4 homes in total) * Temperature controlled to within 0.5 degC from -20degC to +40 degC * Wind, rain, solar radiation and snow can be generated * These conditions provide testing facilities for housing covering 95% of the global population. The Energy House 2 Project has a requirement to monitor heat flow through wall, floors, roofs, doors and ceilings. This is generally done using heat flux sensors.
