## Summary

The Barts Health NHS Trust is in the planning stage of procuring a "Basic life support assessment system" aimed at enhancing staff training capabilities. This initiative pertains to the industry category of training software packages and takes place in London, United Kingdom, with the postal code E1 1FR designated for delivery. The procurement is currently focused on identifying suitable suppliers, with a specific market engagement milestone set to conclude by 6th February 2026. This service-oriented tender seeks a system that enables 24/7 staff access for independent practice and assessment of basic life support skills, utilising a mannequin and electronic tablet, which aligns with mandatory learning requirements. The process is being managed by Ian Longhurst at Barts Health NHS Trust from their operational base in Canary Wharf, London.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses in the training technology sector, particularly those offering innovative assessment systems compatible with current resuscitation protocols. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly encouraged to participate, highlighting the contract's openness to diverse business sizes. As a potential purchase falls below the FTS threshold, it provides an excellent chance for emerging suppliers to engage with a significant NHS Trust, thereby fostering business growth through the delivery of essential healthcare training solutions.

## Notice

The Contracting Authority is seeking to identify Suppliers who possess the capability for the following requirements in order to inform a potential below FTS threshold purchase. Budget Holder Requirement: Our requirement would be an independent system that allows staff to be able to practise and be assessed in basic life support with the use of a mannequin and electronic tablet which (when the candidate achieves the required standard) then emails a certificate of competence to the candidate and to the resuscitation service. This system is situated in a room where staff have access 24/7 without the need for a resuscitation officer or trainer to be present. It will also update the staff members mandatory learning training portal.
