The provision of high-quality information, advice and support is crucial to support this objective. * To ensure parents, children and young people receive high quality, impartial and accessible information, advice and support that are appropriate to their needs, extends their knowledge and maximises their involvement in decision making. * To ensure parents, children and young people are supported to understand their rights, roles and responsibilities within the legislative frameworks that apply to special educational needs and disability. * Where self-advocacy is difficult, to help children and families say what they want, secure their rights, represent their interests and obtain services they need. * To promote social inclusion, equality and social justice.
