## Summary

The Ministry of Defence is conducting a procurement process for the supply and delivery of musical instruments, technical equipment related supplies, and associated repairs, under the title "Supply & Delivery of Musical Instruments, Technical Equipment Related Supplies & Services, Associated Repairs & the Supply of Sheet Music." This process falls under the services category and is based in Glasgow, Scotland. The current procurement stage is the Award stage, with the contract period set to commence on 1 July 2015 and conclude on 30 June 2019. The estimated total value of the procurement is £600 million, and the procurement method employed is a selective restricted procedure, with the deadline for expressions of interest already passed on 9 April 2015.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in musical instruments, technical support, and repair services, particularly for those within the UK's defence sector. Companies that are members of the Association of Musical Instrument Repairers (NAMIR) or equivalent would be particularly well-placed to compete, as the contract includes services for various musical bands and schools within the UK Armed Forces. Additionally, suppliers that can provide catalogues and pricing structures in line with the Authority's needs will likely find this tender advantageous for growth and establishing long-term relationships with government customers.
