The University of Nottingham is currently seeking suppliers for a tender titled "1510/ITT/SC - Hardware in Loop System", focused on the aerospace industry, specifically the development of electrical power systems for future aircraft. The procurement process, which is classified as an open procedure, is at the tender stage and is active as of 16th April 2021, with a submission deadline set for 14th May 2021 at 11:30 AM. The contract is expected to commence on 21st May 2021 and concludes on 20th May 2022. Interested suppliers must register on the university’s e-tendering platform to express their interest.

This opportunity to provide a Hardware in Loop (HIL) system presents significant growth potential for businesses specialising in electrical and control apparatus, especially those engaged in aerospace technologies. Companies that have experience in power electronics, particularly with the evolving trends towards more-electric aircraft systems, will find this tender particularly suitable. Engaging in this project could enhance a supplier's portfolio and reputation in the aerospace sector, allowing for further collaborations in advancing innovative technologies.

## Notice

This is formal request for quotation with information, instructions and guidance following consideration of which the proposal submission should be completed and returned by all Suppliers who wish to quote for the contract. The more-electric aircraft is a dominant trend for future aircraft. With this concept, the electrical power system on board aircraft will see significant penetration of power electronic devices. The Electrical Power System (EPS) on board future aircraft can thus be very different from conventional ones. One example is a single-bus concept, which seems to be a very attractive solution for future aircraft EPS. Within EU CleanSky H2LSPC and MISSION projects, this single bus concept will potentially be further explored. The Hardware in the Loop (HIL) technology will enable integration of power electronic devices developed in H2LSPC and MISSION project within a virtual EPS and thus study the performance of the entire system. The HIL should consider with potentially 3 AC drives and 1 DC-DC converter Additional information: TENDERERS MUST EXPRESS THEIR INTEREST THROUGH FIRST REGISTERING ON THE UNIVERSITY'S E-TENDERING SYSTEM https://in-tendhost.co.uk/universityofnottingham/ Non-compliant expressions of interest (EOI) will not be considered or acknowledged.
