## Notice

In May 2017 the government changed the way it funds apprenticeships in England. The levy applies to all large employers with a salary bill of over PS3 million, the funding rules for levy-paying employers came in to force on 1st May 2017. The levy aims to increase the number of apprenticeships and sets clear targets for Local Authorities. It provides a more employer led, flexible approach to apprenticeships in a range of industries and at different levels.
