The AQP process will appoint providers to deliver a 'Community Carpal Tunnel & Hand Surgery Service' which GP's and their patients may choose to refer to following initial clinical assessment and conservative treatment. The service will include: - Confirmation of initial clinical assessment - Injection (if required) - Splinting (if required) - Open release surgery for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome - Surgery for Trigger Finger - Surgery for Ganglion - Follow up (if required) - Discharge and management planning Under this specification providers will deliver service elements as required under a 'one stop' service.
