## Summary

The Birmingham Children's Trust is initiating a procurement process for the establishment of a Regional Adoption Agency (RAA). This planning stage follows a market sounding exercise conducted in August 2020, with a virtual market engagement event scheduled for 5th October 2020, from 10:00 to 12:00. Interested providers must register to attend this event via Eventbrite. This procurement falls under the welfare services for children and young people category and is to be conducted by Birmingham City Council, located at 10 Woodcock Street, Birmingham, B4 7WB, England.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly Voluntary Adoption Agencies (VAAs) and those involved in child welfare services, to engage in a collaborative effort aimed at improving regional adoption processes. By participating in the virtual provider event, businesses can gain valuable insights into the procurement process, learn about the specific needs of Birmingham Children's Trust, and potentially contribute to a more efficient adoption support framework. The regional focus aims to ensure that children receive timely matching and placement services, which in turn fosters growth for providers aligning with these objectives.

Please use this link to https://trustraaoct5.eventbrite.co.uk If you are unable to access please email us at: cps@birmingham.gov.uk The Government's Regional Adoption Agencies (RAA) programme began in 2015. The paramount focus of the development of RAAs is that children are given the earliest opportunity of finding a family with timely matching and placement of all children including priority children for whom it is harder to find adopters. There is also a focus on adoption support and a need to move away from piecemeal services and potential gaps in provision, towards consistent, effective and easy to access adoption support services across the region. Regional adoption agencies are expected to deliver all adoption recruitment, matching and support functions.
