## Summary

King's College London is inviting tenders for the supply and installation of a 7T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Clinical Research Facility, located at St Thomas' Hospital, London SE1 7EH. This procurement falls under the category of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and is currently in the active tender stage, with a deadline for submissions set for 13 January 2017. The successful supplier will be expected to provide a complete turnkey solution, including equipment supply, installation, and project management for the enabling and refurbishment works.

This opportunity presents significant potential for businesses specialised in advanced medical equipment and installation services, particularly those with experience in the health sector. Suppliers capable of delivering comprehensive support and high-quality solutions in clinical environments will be well-positioned to compete. Additionally, companies involved in innovative research methodologies in neuroimaging, oncology, and cardiovascular studies may find this contract attractive as it targets cutting-edge research programmes supported by leading academic institutions.

## Notice

King's College London (the university) requires a state of the art whole body ultra-high field (7T) Magnetic Resonance system, including associated ancillary equipment and operational/research support, and invites expressions of interest from competent suppliers to fulfil this requirement. The university requires that the successful supplier will provide a full turnkey service, i.e. supply, install and commission the equipment and also appoint building contractors and manage the enabling and refurbishment works required to house the equipment. Prospective Suppliers need to be aware of the more limited local space and services preparation as part of the installation. The scientific and clinical staff driving this project would like to explore different ways of achieving their requirement and, as such, the university is utilising the Competitive Dialogue Procedure as set out in Article 30 (Chapter 2, Section 3) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015. The 7T system is to be installed in a newly developed clinical research facility to be located at St Thomas' Hospital, London SE1 7EH, and to be used by leading researchers drawn from major Universities and Research institutes across London. The MR system is needed for comprehensive research programmes in Neuroimaging/Neuroscience, Cardiovascular disease, Oncology, Musculoskeletal studies and Paediatrics, and closely allied methodological research with major foci on parallel transmit technology, diffusion imaging, quantitative brain imaging & in vivo histology, quantitative susceptibility mapping and multi-nuclear spectroscopy.
