## Summary

The Ministry of Defence is overseeing the procurement process for the provision of Tri-Service Medical Personnel Training to the Health and Care Professions Council Paramedic Standard. This initiative is designed to equip personnel with a Bachelor of Science Degree at Level 6, enabling registration as a paramedic. Located in mainland UK, the procurement falls under the industry category of education and training services. Initially initiated as a tender, the process has reached the award stage, with The University Of Lancashire being the successful supplier. The estimated value of the contract is £4,460,266.07, with the contract period starting from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2029. The open procurement method was used, with the tender period concluding on March 14, 2025.

This contract offers a significant opportunity for institutions specialising in higher education and emergency medical training. Businesses capable of providing quality education and residential academic training for paramedics will find this procurement particularly fitting. Additionally, strong collaboration with ambulance services or trusts is essential. Although the procurement is tailored towards larger organisations due to its complexity and scope, SMEs interested in expanding their expertise in educational services for defence might find this project appealing. Adherence to cyber security standards specified in DEF Stan 05-138 is mandatory, ensuring protection against online threats for all engaged suppliers.
