To fulfil these needs, LCC (former Education Dept.) bought the original AVCO AnyComms product in November 1999. The original product was basic by modern standards and the administration of the application was by producing sequel based rules within the administration tool. A new sequel script was required to route each new file type to its intended recipients, though once written this allowed users to continue to upload this file type according to their own schedule.
