Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) is a long established Joint Venture between two global leaders in the delivery of critical infrastructure and highways projects. Following the decision to proceed with HS2 earlier this year, the BBV Joint Venture can now commence full detailed design and construction of the HS2 N1/N2 railway. The scope of works will comprise: * Support BBV JV in engaging with the owners and occupants of eligible properties to arrange access for surveys; * Carry out surveys to inform designs and requirements of the noise insulation package for eligible windows on eligible facades; * Design and production of the noise insulation package; and * Installation of the noise insulation package on the eligible facades. The Noise Insulation Package comprises: * secondary glazing for eligible windows on eligible facades, plus supplementary ventilation if required; * blinds on facades where there is a need to control solar gain; and * insulation treatment for external doors on eligible facades. As well as providing services to support the advance installation of noise insulation to eligible dwellings, the contractor will also be required to support BBV JV in the surveying, design, installation and commissioning of noise insulation to any special case properties identified both before and during the construction works, as necessary.
