The employability programmes provide work readiness skills and opens doors to employment to some of the most disadvantaged groups in society; helping them to become work ready through partnerships with charities, delivery partners and business stakeholders that enables them to develop employability skills and experiences. Additionally, individuals who fall into these groups have been disproportionately impacted by the current pandemic and now face even greater barriers to employment. The primary purpose of the employability programmes is to equip the learners with the relevant skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to attain sustained employment as part of a wider social value not necessarily for the benefit of TfL.
