## Summary

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Dorset has completed the procurement of Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) services aimed at supporting high-risk victims of domestic abuse across Dorset, including adults, children, and young people. Dorset Police acted as the buyer, awarding the contract to Victim Support after an open procurement procedure. This contract, part of broader community service initiatives, will commence on 1st July 2026 and conclude on 30th June 2030, encompassing critical intervention processes such as victim identification and multi-agency collaboration. It is aligned with providing considerable support through the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and High Harm Perpetrator Panel engagements.

This contract presents growth opportunities for businesses specialising in community, social, and personal services, particularly those experienced in domestic abuse intervention and support strategies. While the contract was awarded to Victim Support, organisations with expertise in delivering comprehensive support networks for victims and working collaboratively with statutory agencies might find future opportunities in similar tenders. This procurement prioritises a service capable of delivering a robust system response to domestic abuse, emphasizing the potential for innovation in approaches to victim and perpetrator management.
