## Summary

The West Midlands Combined Authority has completed a procurement process titled "Direct Award- A491 High Street Stourbridge Corridor Improvement Scheme" under the Transport systems consultancy services category. The initiative aims to enhance traffic signal network management along the A491 High Street corridor in Stourbridge, with a focus on three key junctions to relieve congestion and improve bus travel. The procurement was conducted via a selective method, specifically a call-off from a framework agreement, with the contract period spanning from 13th August to 24th November 2025. The award was active from 19th June 2025, with a contract value of £149,751, and the main delivery region is the West Midlands, United Kingdom.

This tender offers substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in transport systems consultancy, particularly those capable of providing innovative solutions for traffic management. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are especially suitable for this type of opportunity, given the specific requirement for consultancy support to optimise the performance of key traffic junctions. Engaging in such a project allows businesses to establish or enhance networks with local government bodies and potentially secure future contracts within public infrastructure improvements in the West Midlands region.
