Umbrella is a partnership, led by University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB), consisting of a number of community-based organisations, charities and health service providers, with the aim of improving the sexual health and well-being of the people of Birmingham and Solihull. Umbrella is seeking to appoint a Domestic Abuse ("DA") specialist agency to provide and support and Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to; - Support victims after disclosure of DA, identified while attending Umbrella, - Ensure Umbrella has a joined-up, city-wide response to DA, with effective partnership working and pathways to other organisations involved in the response to DA. The domestic abuse service will offer to each victim a risk and needs led response, delivered in partnership with other agencies where necessary, that proactively addresses risk and safety, support a victim's practical needs, empowers them and provides effective referral pathways where appropriate. Any contract awarded as a result of this procurement process will will expire on 31 August 2020 (unless terminated in accordance with the provisions of the Services Sub-contract) with an option to extend further up to a maximum of two (2) years.
