## Notice

Essex County Council's (ECC) current managed network services contract ends 31st December 2025, with a further period for transition. In December 2024 a cabinet paper was approved to procure a new reliable, resilient and managed network service for the Essex County Council Estate with service transition commencing from January 2026. The initial contract is for a period of 7 Years with optional extensions for up to 48 months and a further optional named Transition Assistance Period of up to 24 months. In November 2024, the Authority hosted a Bidder Event for suppliers to understand the direction of the Authority and presented on our strategic ambitions. The Event was extremely successful with over 60 different suppliers attending. For further information on what was presented, please review the presentation, which you can access through ECC's e-sourcing portal, ProContract (https://procontract.due-north.com/Login) search for the opportunity "DN748706 Managed Network Services" and express an interest. Over the next few weeks, the Authority is expected to initiate the tender process to allow suppliers to bid for this contract. Activity to shape the content of the service and the contract is underway and we are keen to ascertain your views over specific aspects of the contract/service to ensure we have factored as much as possible prior to going out to tender.
