## Summary

NHS Leeds West Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is currently seeking to commission a social prescribing service through the NHS South Yorkshire Procurement Service. This initiative, titled the "NHS Leeds West CCG Patient Empowerment Program (PEP)", aims to engage local communities across Yorkshire and the Humber, specifically targeting areas with high health inequalities. The open tender process is set to close on 9th May 2016. The contract, running from 1st September 2016 to 31st August 2019, focuses on health services in line with NHS standards, ensuring compliance with IT Governance and Data Protection regulations throughout the project.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the social care and health services sectors, particularly for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). Companies that can provide innovative community support solutions, enhance patient self-management, and improve access to healthcare services are well suited to compete in this tender. Participation in this project not only allows businesses to contribute positively to local health outcomes but also positions them for potential future contracts within the NHS framework.
