## Summary

The Kent County Council has initiated a tender process for the "Highway Civils Framework" for significant highway infrastructure development, civil engineering works, and associated constructions in South East England. The framework aims to support the Highway and Transportation business in delivering contracts that cannot be accommodated through other agreements. The procurement method is a selective negotiated procedure, with a contract period starting from 1st March 2021 and ending on 31st August 2023, potentially extendable. The framework offers opportunities for civil engineering contractors and businesses involved in highway maintenance and construction.

This Highway Civils Framework tender issued by the Kent County Council presents business growth opportunities for civil engineering firms and contractors interested in highway infrastructure projects. The framework encompasses two lots - Civil Engineering Works and Multidisciplinary Civil Engineering Works - with a maximum duration of 4 years. The Council, responsible for over 8700km of carriageways and 6300km of footways, may provide work on an individual basis via direct award or mini-competition procedures. With no guaranteed awards, this framework encourages competition and collaboration, catering to the Council's highway asset maintenance and development needs within the South East region.
