## Summary

The procurement process, initiated by ESPO (Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation), is aimed at establishing a national framework agreement for secure shredding and disposal services under the title "981_19 Secure Shredding and Disposal". This procurement falls within the refuse and waste-related services industry category and is located in England, with potential delivery to public bodies across the UK. The tender period commenced with a closing date for submissions set at 12:00 midday on 27 September 2019. The total estimated value of the contract is £8,000,000, and it may include an option to extend for an additional 12 months following the initial contract period, which is slated to run from 1 December 2019 to 30 November 2021.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations that specialise in waste management, secure shredding, or recycling services. Successful suppliers could benefit from participating in an eAuction for subsequent call-off contracts, enhancing competitive positioning in the sector. Businesses capable of delivering high security shredding services, including those meeting CPNI standards, and providing additional services related to document destruction will find this contract particularly aligned to their services. This framework agreement facilitates access to a wide range of public sector clients including local authorities, educational institutions, NHS bodies, and various emergency services across the UK.
