## Summary

The procurement process outlined is managed by National Highways, headquartered in Birmingham, England. This contract, titled "S30037 Supervision of Construction of Energy Storage Systems Contract (Phase 3c)", falls under the Development Consultancy Services category and involves the continuous support and supervision during the delivery of energy storage systems across several regions, including various British territories, and the United Kingdom itself. The procurement follows a selective method, specifically a call-off from a framework agreement, and has recently moved to the award stage with Costain Limited as the supplier. The contract's value is £49,765.64, and it will span from 23rd October 2025 to 31st March 2026.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for consultancy firms, particularly those specialising in engineering and construction supervision, to expand their reach and portfolio in the burgeoning sector of energy infrastructure. The project aims to install ultra-rapid electric vehicle charge points in motorway service areas, contributing to the government’s decarbonisation goals. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are well-suited to participate, given the emphasis on continued technical and commercial support during the delivery phase. Thus, businesses with the capability to provide specialised consultancy services within this framework could greatly benefit from future opportunities arising from this initiative.
