The contract, worth £3,057,000, has been given to Ernst & Young LLP for a duration of two years with potential extensions up to three years, pending annual budgetary approval. The service involves designing, building, and maintaining web services for digital verification, located in London, and falls under the Information Technology Services category. This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in digital identity verification to expand their reach and capabilities within the UK market. Companies adept in PKI technology, particularly those focusing on programmatic checks and digital interfaces, would be well-positioned to leverage this contract to further innovate and develop solutions that align with the UK's Digital Identities and Attributes Trust Framework. Although awarded to Ernst & Young LLP, companies forming consortia or partnerships to extend their service offerings may find growth opportunities in similar future tenders offered by government entities like DSIT.

## Notice

1.1 DSIT is inviting bids from specialist suppliers and/or a consortium of suppliers to design, build and run the digital verification services (DVS) register, which is a register of digital verification service providers (DVSPs) who have been registered with the government following certification against the UK Digital Identities and Attributes Trust Framework (UK DIATF). This includes maintaining, improving and integrating an existing web service - the human-readable digital verification services register (HRR) - and building and running a new web service, the machine-readable register (MRR). The MRR is an extension of the HRR and will leverage PKI technology to enable programmatic checks against a DVSP's certified and registered status in a wide variety of use cases and scenarios in which digital identity or verification services are or will be used.
