This service also allows for the refurbishment or recycling of waste IT equipment which supports the Council's environmental objectives. The Council would like the following objective to be considered: - o To support digital inclusion, enable returned equipment to be repurposed and made available to Birmingham Council community schemes/charities with substantial reductions. o The supplier should be able to receive disposal requests via the supplier's own portal/system. o Assets will need to be collected from multiple sites across Birmingham These should be collected on a regular basis and sometimes at short notice if required. o All IT assets owned by BCC will be considered in scope for collection and disposal. o BCC must be notified when the collection has taken place & be provided with a Certificate of Collection & a Certificate of Disposal for each collection and/or item disposed of o Securely delete all Council data using an approved method (e.g. Blancco Drive Eraser or equivalent) The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
