SCOPE OF THE SERVICES REQUIRED * HSE Science Division (SD) Fire Safety Team undertakes Fire Testing of aerospace components in a separate enclosure within the Burn Hall facility. * Components are exposed to a defined test flame (either propane or liquid fuel, jet A1) for a set period and assessed on their response. * Components may be on fire at the end of the period. * We have identified an opportunity to increase our testing portfolio into components that may contain, hydraulic oil, fuel, or other flammable liquids under significant pressure (30- 150 bar). These present additional fire risks if they fail during testing * Thus, we have identified the need for a fire extinguishing system to counter this additional risk and invite bids from interested parties.
