The contract includes reconfiguring office and teaching spaces within the building while it remains fully operational. The tender has an open procurement method with a tender period ending on 12th April 2023 and a contract period from 1st June 2023 to 15th September 2023. Businesses that can provide comprehensive building and laboratory construction solutions, ensuring operational continuity and compliance during implementation, would be well-suited to compete for this tender. ## Notice UWL wishes to create a 'suite' of Labs going forward and therefore the works under this contract must have the same 'look and feel' as the existing BioMed Labs located on the 3rd floor of the Warwick Building. The University of West London wishes to engage a Principal Contractor to provide a key-turn solution to survey, investigate, validate, design, supply and install a new Classification 2 BioMed Lab to the 3rd floor and to refurbish and modernise the existing Science Labs and associated spaces to the 2nd floor under Design & Build procurement at the St Mary's Road (SMR) campus. The works include reconfiguring of office and teaching accommodation within mixed use floors, to create these specialist teaching spaces (refer to Appendices). The works are to take place whilst the building is fully operational with both staff, students and external hire guests making use of the building throughout the programme as well as other small works contractors undertaking business-as-usual maintenance and works. It is therefore imperative that the works are completed in a sympathetic manner.
