## Summary

The Department of Health and Social Care in London is planning a procurement process titled "Improving Resilience - Stem Cell Registry" in the health services industry. The procurement stage is in the planning phase, with an engagement end date set for 24th August 2022. The procurement aims to increase the number of UK stem cell donors to enhance the stem cell supply and diversity, benefitting ethnic minority patients. The estimated contract value is £900,000 inclusive of VAT, with an intended contract term of 2 years and 3 months. The procurement is targeted at small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs).

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses involved in health services, medical personnel services, health laboratories, and medical analysis to contribute to the stem cell registry project. Companies interested in recruitment, laboratory analysis, genotyping, and healthcare services are well-suited to compete. The tender invites early engagement for feedback and market intelligence, with a focus on the project’s costing model and approach. Interested organisations can participate in the market engagement questionnaire until 24th August 2022. The formal procurement process will follow, allowing fair competition for all suppliers via the DHSC Atamis eTendering System in the future.
