Following deterioration to the wooden planks during late December 2024, the footbridge was cordoned off and the Skate Park closed on safety grounds. Street Parish Council has a duty under the lease to maintain the footbridge and are seeking tenders for a contractor to investigate the condition of the pedestrian footbridge and submit a proposal for its repair or replacement. The current lease arrangement is in place until 15th September 2039 upon which time the lease arrangement is likely to be reviewed.
