## Summary

Scarborough Borough Council is conducting a tender process for the "Whitby Arts Trail - Public Art" project, aimed at creating seven life-sized galvanized wire steel sculptures that celebrate the town's maritime heritage. This open procurement method was initiated on 19 November 2019, with expressions of interest due by 2 December 2019. The project value is set at £55,000, and the contract period extends from 9 December 2019 to 15 May 2020, taking place in Whitby, North Yorkshire, within the industry category of art works.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for local artists and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in sculpture or public art. Those with experience in artistic projects and a familiarity with public arts installations would be particularly well-suited to compete. Engaging with this project enables businesses to gain exposure within the community while contributing to the cultural landscape of Whitby, thereby fostering growth through local engagement and potential future contracts.
